Email Blacklist API documentation
In the link below you can access API documentation for our Email Blacklist API. There you will find information about Authentication, setting up input request, status codes and their description.
Email Blacklist API code examples
Our Email Blacklist API is a restfull web API. Requests are done over HTTP or HTTPS, so it doesn’t matter if your application is written in PHP, Javascrpipt, Ruby, Python, Objective C, .NET or any other programming language.
How to use our Email Blacklist API
Using WhoAPI’s Email Blacklist API is similar to using our other APIs. The only difference is you can check both a domain name, or an IP address. So if you are a hosting company with hundreds of IP addresses, or a email marketing company with thousands of them, our email blacklist API can tell you when an IP adress or a domain name gets blacklisted by one of the major RBL blacklists.
Email Blacklist API use case
Every day, billions of emails are sent. Not thousands. Not millions. Billions! It’s hard for any software or system to automatically or programmatically detect if a message is spam or a genuine important email message from one person to another. So there are a lot of false positives, and there are companies that get blacklisted just because of a bad neighborhood.
WhoAPI provides a tremendously valuable service – machine-readable WHOIS data! We’re using it for automatic checks of domain squatting around our trademarks.
