Thank you for considering subscribing to our monthly newsletter. In this article, I list 11 reasons why I think you should signup for WhoAPI’s monthly newsletter.
Here we go:
1. Get 10,000 extra API requests for free
That’s right. When you sign up with a legitimate email address, you get 10,000 API requests. Then in order to get another 10,000 API requests, you need to sign up for our monthly newsletter. The only catch is you have to be subscribed for 6 months. There would be no point if you just subscribed, unsubscribed, and got 10,000 API requests.
So let’s say that you wanted a great free Whois API service. This is a great way to get 20,000 API requests for free. It will last you a long time unless you are making a ton of requests. Then it’s probably better that you upgrade to one of our paid plans.
2. Be the first to know when we announce discounts
Once you need to upgrade, it might be a good idea to catch a discount. However, our prices are very competitive, and we don’t offer any coupons or discounts. Well, just because you never saw a discount doesn’t mean there never is! There is a solution to this. In our monthly newsletter, we will announce when a discount will be available.
Our discounts are massive and permanent. This means that once you get on a discount, we don’t require you to pay the full price when the subscription expires. That’s why we rarely have discounts, and that’s why they last for a short period of time. It doesn’t matter if it’s a monthly or a yearly plan. We have clients that have been with us for years on legacy packages! So sign up for our newsletter and get a notification well in advance when the discounts will be announced.
3. Learn about research findings before everybody
Back in 2013, Slate broke the news that all four-letter .com domain names are registered. In 2023 Monitor wrote that 35% of the 5000 fastest-growing companies in America have Microsoft 365 installed. We also discovered that 66.2% of the 6N numeric .com domain names are registered. These are the kinds of research findings you can expect every once in a while in our monthly newsletter.
The research I mentioned here was conducted by our team. The best place to get news and findings like this is at the source.
4. Get access to tools during beta stages for free
Why don’t we publish research more often? Well, because we are also building tools and APIs. We have been doing this for more than a decade, so at one point, we revamped our Screenshot API. Then we launched a brand new API with our proprietary algorithm and domain rating system called Domain Score API. One day on April Fools’ Day, we released a Free Domain API.
We even built a few domain checkers, domain monitoring tools, and other applications. Our newsletter subscribers will be the first ones to see them, test them for free, and get discounted paid versions. Then again, who knows what we will build next!
5. It’s only once per month
Our monthly newsletter goes out… Once per month! It doesn’t clutter your inbox, and there are no repeated messages. We don’t share your contact details with anybody, so if you subscribe, I guarantee you will get only 1 more email per month. What’s more, I’ll take a break from sending during the summer!
That’s 11 newsletters per year. It will be action packaged, as promised, but you won’t be overwhelmed with repeated messages from WhoAPI and me.
6. Looks beautiful, and it’s custom designed
With our monthly newsletter, we are NOT going for quantity. We are going for quality. That means that we can invest in quality content and beautiful design. We want you to enjoy looking, reading, and sharing our newsletter. If you are wondering what it looks like… Well, you should subscribe!
For better, or for worse, I will personally write the newsletter. Not outsourced to a newbie email marketer, not written by AI. I’ve been working on WhoAPI for over a decade and will stand behind this newsletter. Certainly, I won’t be able to do everything by myself, but I will handle this personally.
7. Important news, updates, and other important information about WhoAPI
A small part of our newsletter will be reserved for important news and updates on WhoAPI. For example, if we add a new TLD to our supported list of TLDs, it will be mentioned here. If we revamp one of our APIs, or any planned downtime or major changes, they will be announced in our monthly newsletter.
For example, when there’s a major breakthrough (which you may have missed if you weren’t reading our blog or social media channels), it will be mentioned in our newsletter.
8. Get a round-up of our blog posts
We’ve published guides, white papers, articles, videos, infographics, and other content on our blog for more than a decade. This won’t take a large part of our newsletter, but it will be mentioned there as a reminder in case you missed it when we published it. We don’t expect you to visit our blog every week, but I think some articles we’ve published are great.
Don’t take my word for it. Some of the articles we’ve published have been read more than ten thousand times since they were published. Surely they are worth something, and I think it’s worth reminding newsletter subscribers that these articles are worth reading.
9. You can always unsubscribe and take a break
It’s 2023, and our inboxes are constantly bombarded with emails, spam, newsletters, reminders, and everything in between. The last thing you need is one more email in your inbox.
I hear you.
Here’s how I handle Inbox Zero. I filter newsletters in a separate label, and they never make it to my inbox. Then, on my own time, when I am interested in reading newsletters, I open the label Newsletters, and read what’s interesting.
For example, I am subscribed to Seeking Alpha newsletters with news on company stocks I own. I think that that’s a wise newsletter to read occasionally. I am subscribed to Manchester United newsletters so that I can read team news and get club swagger on discounts. Flippa sends me a list of available digital businesses for sale as a part of their weekly newsletters. I would argue that these are all very valuable and interesting newsletters. To not subscribe because “it’s another email message” in my inbox would be foolish.
10. Get access to other content, opportunities, and information we wouldn’t publish
In my last paragraph, I accidentally mentioned the newsletters I am subscribed to.
Obviously, I won’t write or publish an article on the WhoAPI website about that. But I might share information like that in the newsletter (have you already subscribed?).
Think of this as a one- more-thing, surprise” section (get to know us better). For example, you might learn that the Croatian president personally invited two WhoAPI investors to visit him at his presidential residence!
11. It’s free
I’ve been selling this monthly newsletter so hard that you would expect a price tag at the end!
But that’s not who we are!
This monthly newsletter will be absolutely free! If you would like to support us, then upgrade to one of our APIs.
Chances are, if you are reading this, you are or were a client of ours, and I sent you a personal invitation to subscribe or read this article. If that’s the case, thank you very much for your support.
In conclusion, I want to thank you for considering subscribing to our monthly newsletter and for showing interest in what I have to share. See you on the other side!
