Changes to the free WhoAPI account

As much as we love to Make Internet Awesome, and help you build tools, get the domain data you need, and help you make better decisions when it comes to your company online, we have to set productive boundaries.

Due to an increasing number of created WhoAPI accounts with emails created on free email services around the globe, and the 10 minute email accounts that help prevent spammers to fill your inbox (but at the same time allow users to manipulate signups on services such as WhoAPI), we have decided to limit the use of Free account to only one week (7 days).

All the free accounts that were created before 02.02. will be canceled within 48 hours of this notice.

If you would like to share your thoughts on this decision, please contact us.

  1. If it keeps your service up and working, I think a simple payment structure like $5 is more than completely fair. Let’s do it!

  2. It’s completely understandable. But I think you should still keep the 7 days free trail as a way to get people on board without paying.
